A bit about my creative journey…

I appreciate your interest in my background. Here is a quick summary of my creative journey.

1 / B.F.A in Theatre

I always loved storytelling.

Story is the most powerful way to capture the human mind.

For thousands of years, humans have used story to express themselves, build communities, and inspire action.

I studied Theatre not because I wanted to be an actor but because I loved the process of character creation and the psychology of human communication.

2 / Teaching

I discovered my love for teaching during undergrad. I became a teaching assistant for the acting classes.

After graduation, I taught performance-based classes such as acting, public speaking, and storytelling to students ranging from 5 to 96 years old.

3 / Creative Business

I started a couple of creative service businesses in college. The first was a headshot photography business for actors and the second was a video production service for theatre companies where I filmed their plays and produced trailers and social media clips.

4 / Marketing Career

I made the transition to marketing because I enjoyed the process of crafting stories for creative businesses. Building a creative brand is like building a character for the stage.

I worked in almost every marketing role in theatre companies before I became a marketing coordinator for a SaaS company.

5 / StoryBrand Certification

StoryBrand is a certification program that combines the art of storytelling and business marketing. I became a StoryBrand Certified Marketing Guide to help creatives businesses.

6 / Brand Coaching

Combining my theatre education, teaching skills, and marketing experience, I started my brand coaching business to help creative service providers launch and promote their creative brand so they can stop feeling stuck and have more freedom and fulfillment in their lives.
